14. Please describe your reactions/ideas to the following quote: "He does not possess wealth, it possesses him."

The quote “He does not possess wealth but it possesses him” is true. People do change after they gain wealth even if it’s the slightest details. Yes some people may not change but only a small percentage wouldn’t.
After gaining wealth people change in different ways, some more noticeable than others. When people say wealth changes people they tend do think it is the personality that is changed and sometimes this is true. My mom always told me how my tia, who once struggled for money, was always saving money anyway she could but one day she got lucky and won the lottery. After she went to college she became rich and once this happened, her personality changed completely. She became very stuck up and once she starts spending she spends. This is my argument of why the quote is true.
Though people’s personality sometimes changes it is not always the case. Sometimes people are possessed by wealth in the slightest ways such as eating habits or how they dressed. Suppose you are someone who works everyday barely making enough money to eat but one day you find a job that pays so well you could eat at a restaurant every day. Would you not prefer to eat at the restaurant then barely have anything to eat? Same thing with clothing, if you were working everyday barely making enough to survive; you probably would have to use old raggedy cloths. But then you find a job that pays well would you not got out and buy yourself new cloths? The money would possess you to change your life style.
From the three examples you can see money does change people even in the slightest way. Some people may be possessed more than others but everyone does change. This is what I believe of the quote “He does not possess wealth but it possesses him”
